Lucy & Sam Team

Christmas has officially arrived, and we couldn’t be more excited! So, to celebrate this magical time of year, we’re sharing with you 8 super fun Christmas activities for kids to get you and your little one in the festive spirit.

1. Decorate Christmas Cookies

Do you and your little one love to bake? Then why not try baking and decorating your own festive cookies?

Using cookie cutters and royal icing, you could create some wonderful biscuit designs, including christmas trees, stars, reindeers and snowflakes.

Super fun and creative, this activity is a great way to get your little one excited about Christmas.

2. Watch a Christmas Movie

Is there anything better than snuggling down on the sofa and watching a feel-good Christmas movie?

There are so many brilliant ones available, but our absolute favourites include: Elf, The Grinch and Frozen!

And why not take your Christmas movie night up a notch with some popcorn, chocolate pennies, and a super cosy blanket?

3. Write a Letter to Santa

A classic Christmas pastime, writing a letter to Santa is guaranteed to get your little one excited for the big day.

And you can now send your letter directly to the North Pole via Royal Mail! Click here to find out more.

    4. Play Christmas Themed Musical Statues

For this activity, all you need to do is put on a playlist with all the Christmas classics (think Mariah and Wham!), and get your little ones to start dancing.

Once the music stops, they must freeze. If anyone is still moving, they are out of the game!

Fun, festive and cost-effective, this activity is a great way to get your little ones moving this winter.

    5. Go on a Winter Walk

Wrap up warm and take your little one on a magical winter stroll.

Look out for all the beautiful Christmas light displays in your area, and see if you can decide which one is your favourite!

And while you’re out, why not stop off for a festive drink?

      6. Make Paper Snowflakes

Get in the Christmas spirit by making paper snowflakes.

        Instructions:

Using a cookie cutter and a sharp knife, cut a shape into a halved potato to create a stamp. Next, dip it into some paint and press it onto plain, brown wrapping paper to create a festive design.
